Artproject with students

A group of students in the Lapinlahti college planned and made a fabulous peace of art , which was placed in the sauna of the new guesthouse. The picture is about 4 squaremetres and is made of mosaic.  It took a lot of effort to brake the tiles, fit them together and fasten them on the wall and then finally fill the seams and clean the whole work. No wonder that the name of the work of art is "Puu-Haa". (  "Puu" is tree, "puuha" is work)

Opening the questhouse

The questhouse "Haavi" is ready and the first customers celebrated New Year there with us.  It took time and effort to complete the projekt so it's time to celebrate. We are proud and happy to invite You to join the opening party on tu 19th of JAnuary. from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

During the day there will be: fireshow of the group "Nomad" at 15.15 and 18 o'clock possibility to visit have a look on the new questhouse coffee and snacks -10% of the price of the new accomodationbookings   Wish You all wellcome!

We thank all our customers for all the nice moments that we had together. We also wish You  peaceful Christmas and Happy New Year!

Name for the guesthouse!

We looked for the name of the new guesthouse with the help of our customers  through a little competition. We got a lot of good proposals, thank You for them. Most of them had something with fishing and lake to do, but other ideas were presented, too. Finally the name "Haavi" ( hand net) was chosen. All the proposals took part in a lottery and the winner of the gift token is Mr. Kalle Hietala, congatulations!

New guesthouse

Our new gueshouse will be ready by Christmas 2009. This house has 6 cosy doublerooms with toilets and showers in every room. You can also admire the  great view on the Onkivesi lake and there is entrance to the  terracce at every room.  The house is planned to suite also guest with wheelchairs. We are happy to wish welcome little groups and individual travellers to check the new holidayoasis in Jokiniemi!
